After an illustrious career in transport and logistics, 50-year-old Noni G. from Tasmania wanted a change.
She wanted to do something she cared about.
“I’ve travelled a fair bit and it’s always been one of my passions,” Noni said.
That led Noni to enrol in SIT30122 Certificate III in Tourism at Duke Education.
Why Noni Is Loving Duke
The conversational learning was new to Noni, but it quickly grew on her.
“I’d never done it before, but it wasn’t too bad actually! I didn’t have a single problem with it.”
She doesn’t have a problem with the flexibility of the course, either.
“It’s a lot easier for me than going to a physical course. And I love being able to go at my own pace. You’ve still got time limits, but they’re achievable.”
And the skills she’s learning are super practical, she says.
“I’m already putting the things I’m learning to use in everyday life, too.”
Noni’s Next Moves
Noni wants to hone her skills and work in the industry once she’s finished her learning at Duke.
“I’d love to get some more skills in the area of tourism.”
“I’m just waiting until I finish my course, and see where things go from there.”
Going with the flow. We love it!
Keep up the brilliant work, Noni.
